With a 2-1 overtime win against Boston University in 2024, Northeastern won its second women’s Beanpot in a row, and its third in four years.
With 19 tournament championships since 1979, the Huskies are the winningest of the four teams that compete in the women’s Beanpot each year.

In 1979, Northeastern defeated Boston College in the first-ever women’s Beanpot. The tournament (and women’s collegiate hockey) has grown considerably since then, and last year, it moved to TD Garden for the first time ever.
In 2024, Northeastern defeated Boston University 2-1 (OT) to win its second championship in a row, and its third in four years.
