There’s a new No. 1 in the Week 12 baseball Power 10 rankings
1. Tennessee (Previous: 3)
Tennessee takes over the top spot in the rankings after claiming its seventh straight SEC series win with a run-rule victory over Florida on Sunday.
2. Texas A&M (1)
Texas A&M lost the series at LSU this past weekend, but I didn’t move them further down because it’s tough to win a series on the road in the SEC. That happens in baseball. It seemed like they were off the first two games then came back with a big win on Sunday.
3. Clemson (4)
Clemson is at No. 3, the Tigers took two out of three from a hot Georgia Tech team to move into the top trio.
4. Kentucky (7)
Kentucky will enter the top four after upsetting Arkansas. They put up 11 runs on the Razorbacks on Saturday before taking the top spot in the SEC with the win on Sunday. With 21 runs scored in the series total, the Wildcats have entered top-5 territory.
5. Arkansas (2)
Despite the loss to Kentucky, Razorback Hagen Smith still had an insane outing with 14 strikeouts on Friday night.
6. East Carolina (5)
ECU is at No. 6, only because Kentucky had to move up. The Pirates won the series over South Florida.
7. Florida State (6)
FSU is at No. 7 and split the series with NC State after a close loss in the first game.
8. Oregon State (8)
Oregon State stays put at No. 8. Travis Bazzana is now the Oregon State home run record leader after smashing three bombs in a single game against Washington State.
9. Duke (9)
And finally, two ACC teams close it out with Duke and UVA. Both picked up two wins apiece last weekend.
10. Virginia (NR)
Virginia re-enters the Power 10 after run-ruling Navy last week.
