We all love the long ball, so let’s take a a look at 10 of the top home run hitters and sluggers in college baseball this season. As you can imagine, only 10 means lots of guys are not on here.
*All stats are through 4/25/24
1. Charlie Condon, Georgia
Condon at Georgia tops the list of course, leading the nation with 26 home runs. And it’s not just that — he leads the country in batting average, slashing .477, in OPS at 1.680 and slugging. He’s the only guy slugging over 1.000. Just one of the best pure hitters there is and with raw power.
2. Jac Caglianone, Florida
Caglianone at Florida of course led the country last season and is second with 25 homers this season, just one behind Condon, and is batting over .400. He went on a nine-game home run streak this season, too, which tied the record.
3. Braden Montgomery, Texas A&M
Montgomery is tearing it up at Texas A&M this season. He leads the nation with 68 RBI and he’s hit 22 bombs so far while batting .270 for the top-ranked Aggies.
4. Travis Bazzana, Oregon State
Bazzana at Oregon State is another that you could argue as one of the best hitters in the country. He’s hit 19 homers so far this season while hitting over .430 in a pitchers park most of the time, too.
5. Lyle Miller-Green, Austin Peay
Miller-Green at Austin Peay is hitting almost .400 with 23 round trippers and 63 RBI.
6. Christian Moore, Tennessee
Back in the SEC, Moore at Tennessee has 18 homers while hitting just over .370. He just smashed three home runs in a single game to help Tennessee win the series in a top-5 rubber match.
7. Jace LaViolette, Texas A&M
LaViolette is another guy at Texas A&M — there are multiple A&M players with a lot of power — but LaViolette has 20 homers while hitting over .310 this season.
