After a strong weekend showing, Minnesota surged into NCAA.com correspondent Jordan Menard’s penultimate Power 5 rankings before the women’s hockey NCAA Tournament Selection Show.

1. Ohio State (Previous: 1) — The Buckeyes split a 1 vs. 2 matchup this weekend in Madison. In Friday’s win, Reagan Kirk had 29 saves and Jenna Buglioni and Joy Dunne were able to come together on the power play to secure the win with an empty netter.

2. Wisconsin (2) — The Badgers split with No. 1 Ohio State this weekend, taking a 3-1 loss on Friday and then rallying from a 2-0 deficit to down the Buckeyes 4-2 on Saturday. Both Casey O’Brien and Leila Edwards scored two goals.
3. Clarkson (3) — The Golden Knights also had a bye week and will face off in the ECAC quarterfinals this weekend.
4. Colgate (NR) — The Raiders had a bye week but will face off against Brown in the opening round of the ECAC tournament this weekend.
5. Minnesota (NR) — Minnesota ied and then took a 4-2 win over Minnesota-Duluth, where Abby Murphy scored this empty-netter. The Gophs host Minnesota State this weekend in the first round of the WCHA tournament.
