Though he’s made the celebratory ink a habit, Alcaraz said he promised his parents he’d temper the frequency with which he’d add to his collection after beating Novak Djokovic to capture his second straight Wimbledon crown—with one notable exception.
“I told my parents, just to calm them, that it’s just the first one in every major!” he grinned on Tennis Channel. “But I think this is a really big moment. I think I’m going to put the date of this one next to last year. I have to discuss it with them!”
