Alex de Minaur defeated Tomas Martin Etcheverry at the United Cup on Saturday, 6-1, 6-4, to not only make a winning debut to the new season, but to hit a major career milestone.
It was the 250th win of his career.
The Australian, who was born in 1999, is just the second man born in 1999 or later to reach 250 career wins. The first was Jannik Sinner, who was born in 2001, and who passed 250 in the fall.
