With the momentum of beating three-time defending champion Iga Swiatek en route to the final, Ostapenko is the talk of the tournament heading into the final – especially considering that she was ‘pretty confident’ she would advance over the Pole.
“We’ve played a lot of matches and I know how to play against her,” Ostapenko said in her post-match interview. “I was focusing on myself and knew what I had to do.”
