Calling it the “Road to Graduation,” King joins the Class of 2026 after dropping out in 1964—when the university was called California State College.
“I was a history major, and I’m back being a history major,” King said in the first ‘Road to Graduation’ post.
Fans were quick to note the irony of the women’s tennis pioneer majoring in history, with one fan replying, “I think you get extra credit when you’re profiled in the class text!”
