The International Cricket Council (ICC) announced the match officials for the final between India and South Africa of the ongoing T20 World Cup 2024 in the United States and the West Indies on Friday.
Christopher Gaffaney and Richard Illingworth will be on-field umpires for the game and Richard Kettleborough will be the TV umpire. Rodney Tucker has been picked as the fourth umpire while match referee duty will be fulfilled by Richie Richardson.

Who has the uppper hand?
Rohit Sharma’s man has thrashed England in their semifinal in Guyana and looked well-rounded in all departments. With the bowling firing on all cylinders, any conditions in Barbados should not be a problem for the one-time champions. However, batting has blown hot and cold for India in the tournament which is something the Pace attack of South Africa might look to exploit.
The Proteas pace attack made a mockery of the high-flying Afghanistan batting lineup in Trinidad. Marco Jansen has set the tone with the new ball and Kagiso Rabada and Anrich Nortje maintained the pressure later in the innings. However, similar to India South African batting too has looked a shadow itself despite the power-hitting resources in the side.
