Built in 2000, Grand Junction Motor Speedway features a .9-of-a-mile, 11-turn racetrack located on the outskirts of Grand Junction, the largest city in Colorado outside the Front Range, and a four-hour drive from Denver.
The June 29 race provides young local racers with the opportunity to qualify for the Mission Mini Cup National Final, which will once again be held at Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin, August 8-10.
Qualifiers at the Rocky Mountain Mini Moto event will be held for all six classes: Stock 50 (ages 6-8), Stock 110 (ages 8-12), GP 110 (ages 8-12), GP 160 (ages 10-14), GP 190 (ages 10-14) and Street GP (ages 14 and up).
“We’re happy to be bringing a Mission Mini Cup National Qualifier to Colorado, thanks to Rocky Mountain Mini Moto,” said MotoAmerica COO Chuck Aksland. “The series continues to put a spotlight on young talent across the nation, and we know some fast racers will come out of the Rockies again to take on the challenge of the National Final at Road America.”
“Rocky Mountain Mini Moto wants to thank MotoAmerica for inviting us to host another Mini Cup Qualifier race in 2025, as this gives the local Colorado kids an opportunity to show off their talent on a national platform before the year-end final race.” said Rocky Mountain Mini Moto’s Brandan Healy. “Our club’s mission is to promote the sport of road racing and to give our young riders a place to develop their skills in a safe and controlled environment. We are looking forward to partnering with MotoAmerica to pursue this common goal and the board looks forward to hosting this special event at Grand Junction Motor Speedway in June.”
