“I don’t like Wasabi,” Jabeur admitted after a 7-6 (6), 6-4 defeat to Peyton Stearns on Monday. “I don’t know what that choice is. I would probably put the Harissa better. I’m more a Harissa person.”
Still, the self-proclaimed fragrance fan, who reached back-to-back quarterfinals in Abu Dhabi and Doha, was eager to get her hands (and nose) on the candle created, according to the Croydon Candles website, “in a collaboration between poet Lucy Mercer and artist Jamie Shovlin.”
“I love anything that smells good,” said Jabeur. “Candles, perfumes, anything.
“I need to try this. I never tried it. I just don’t know why the cucumber-wasabi. I would ask the person why these choices. Maybe I’m spicy!”
Though the “Jabeur” is currently sold out, surely one more can be made for the woman herself!
